Daryl's progress

Look at our dear Daryl having his hair washed at salon. At last, he is willing to cut his hair without anybody pacifying him. Now he prefer to have his hair cut at salon rather than by mummy liao. hahaha...

Today is our first meeting with the childcare centre teachers for update on his progress for the 1st 5 mths with the centre.

His form teacher cum chinese teacher, Ms Wang, said he is showing improvement in his mandarin. Compared to when he first came to the centre, he did not speak a single chinese word, now he is able to communicate with her in mandarin, can appreciate chinese stories, able to tell stories in mandarin (of course based on his own imagination), able to identify colours in chinese. He is a sociable boy, mix well with his friends and older children in the centre. When his classmate did not turn up that day, he would ask his teacher, "Where is Yi Jun?"

Comments from his english teacher, Ms Audrey, he speaks very well, good in phonics and vocabulary. For eg, he told his teacher "You injured my hand!", when asked why he beat Teacher Mei Ling, he replied "I didn't beat, I pinch." The teacher was surprised he could use word "injured" and "pinch". hahah... He loves to answer questions, always rushing to be the first one to answer. Teacher also commented that he is a very detailed person, when told a story, he would notice every minor details which nobody would have noticed it. Then at time, he would wander around the classroom and refused to sit down, but when questions asked, he was able to answer, meaning, though he was not sitting down, his ears were listening. Now, he is able to identify colours including secondary colours and shapes. For number, he is able to count upto 8.

However, he has a bad habit of telling lies. When he did something wrong, he will push the blame to his classmates, what a terrible boy.

Come to food and drinks, he has no problem at all. He eats and drinks very well, hahahahah...same hobby as mummy.
